How to guide

After you mix Cream Developer with your toner, oxidation occurs. This mixture is normally fine to use for up to an hour, but after that the mixture will not be effective and is best to throw it away and start again.

Timing on the hair is super important as leaving the developer on for too long can lead to over-processing. Not leaving it on for long enough can result in poor colour results.

Your mix will be more diluted and runny which could mean it does not deposit enough colour during the processing time. The colour itself may not last as long as it would normally.

30 Volume is the perfect choice for grey coverage and more resistant hair types, and it is a powerful combination to lift up to 9+ levels. It is better for open-air processing than in foils. 30 Volume will give 3 levels of lift when used with permanent hair colour, depending on the natural hair.

This is a popular choice, and when mixed with Crazy Color High Lift Violet Lightener, is the highest level that should be used on the scalp as the scalp produces more heat and will naturally increase the power of the developer. 20 Volume will give 1-2 levels of lift when mixed with permanent hair colour.

It is recommended to us 6 Volume when mixing with Rapid Toners. It works as an activator for the colour.

The higher the volume, the stronger the developer, the more the hair cuticle opens and the more lightening of the natural pigment. Choosing the developer depends on the application;  6 Volume is generally used for tone-on-tone application with no lift, while 20 and 30 Volume developers are used for services that require lifting of natural base colour and grey coverage.

Crazy Color was launched in 1977 in the midst of the punk rock explosion in Britain. In a time that anarchy and free expression ruled supreme, one hairstylist was growing tired of the same natural color palette. Renato Brunas was at the height of his hairdressing career and was set to push the boundaries of color even further when he developed a new range of rainbow shades. Thus Crazy Color was born and over 40 years later their ethos is the same – to express yourself unapologetically.

In every iconic pink bottle is a color that is ready to turn heads. Don‘t be the trend – make your own. Mix it your way to create a shade to match your style. Crazy Color’s range has expanded to 41 colors over the years and each decade gathers new fans. Each new and unique style shows that color has no limit.
