FAQ

No, Gloss Toners are not progressive. They will not get darker if left on hair longer than the standard processing time.

This is not recommended as it could compromise the semi-permanent colour and longevity. It’s best to tone with Gloss Toners first, then apply semi-permanent colours.

Yes, it’s the perfect way to add extra shine, tone and condition to the hair after a permanent colour service.

Yes, you can mix any of the Gloss Toner colours together to make different tones and/or levels.

Yes, you can mix as a 1:2 ratio (colour to developer). However, keep in mind this will dilute the tonality and longevity.

The Gloss Toner Developer was specially designed to be used with Gloss Toners. It is not recommended to use another developer because it will change the consistency and may undermine the colour results.

Yes, full colour deposit is achieved in just 10 minutes, saving time for the professional and client. The recommended leave time in the hair is 3 – 10 minutes.

Yes, since Gloss Toners are oxidative, you shampoo them out.

Yes, some colours (not all) have resorcinol and PPD in the formula. The end goal is to remove them from all colours and, but that will take some time. Danger Jones started with them in some colours because it makes the formula more stable with deposit, shine, depth and tone. Once comfortable those key things won’t be compromised by changing the formula, Danger Jones will adjust to a full Gloss Toner line without those two ingredients.
