Description

How to use:

  1. Gently shampoo hair, rinse and lightly dry with towel.

 

WATER WRAP:

  1. Block hair into sections.
  2. Wrap damp hair. If hair dries, mist lightly with water.
  3. When wrap is completed, lightly mist all wrapped rods with water.
  4. Place cotton around hairline and a towel at nape of neck.
  5. Apply Waving Lotion to top and underside of each wrapped rod and re-saturate.
  6. IMPORTANT: To prevent skin irritation, immediately remove cotton and towel and gently blot with water-soaked cotton on any areas where lotion may have contacted skin. Replace with fresh cotton and clean towel. Repeat as necessary.
  7. PROCESSING: Cover head with plastic cap and clamp in front. All rods must be covered and airtight. Process at room temperature. DO NOT process under dryer or heat lamp.
  8. Neutralize.

 

TIMING:

  • Normal/Resistant Hair – 20 minutes
  • Tinted Hair (single process) – test curl after 5 minutes and every 1 minute thereafter

Perm has Stop Action, so no test curl is necessary during processing. Perm cannot overprocess on normal hair as it has a fixed processing time. If hair is very porous, take a test curl after 3 minutes.

 


 

COMBINATION WRAP:

NOTE: Do not combination wrap tinted hair.
 

  1. Block hair into sections and determine which will be lotion-wrapped and which will be water-wrapped.
  2. Place towel around neck.
  3. Wrap water-wrapped sections first. Leave hair damp for wrapping. If hair dries during wrapping, mist lightly with water.
  4. When water-wrapped sections are wrapped, lightly mist curls with water and place cotton around wrapped section.
  5. Apply Waving Lotion to the top and underside of each wrapped rod. Avoid dripping.
  6. IMPORTANT: To prevent skin irritation, immediately remove cotton and towel and gently blot with water-soaked cotton on any areas where lotion may have contacted skin. Replace with fresh cotton and clean towel. Repeat as necessary.
  7. PROCESSING water-wrapped: Cover head with plastic cap and clamp in front. All rods must be covered and airtight. Process at room temperature. DO NOT process under dryer or heat lamp. Start timing immediately.
  8. Immediately start wrapping lotion-wrapped sections.
  9. Apply Waving Lotion to sections to be lotion wrapped, keeping lotion 1cm from scalp. If lotion-wrapped section becomes dry while wrapping, lightly remoisten with lotion.
  10. When wrap is completed, place cotton around hairline and a towel at the neck.
  11. Apply Waving Lotion to top and underside of each wrapped rod and re-saturate.
  12. PROCESSING lotion-wrapped: Extend plastic cap to cover all wrapped rods. All rods must be covered and airtight. Process at room temperature. DO NOT process under dryer or heat lamp.
  13. Neutralize.

TIMING:

  • For water-wrapped hair: Normal/Resistant Hair – 20 minutes
  • For lotion-wrapped hair: Normal/Resistant Hair – 10 minutes

NEUTRALIZING:

  1. When processing is complete, rinse hair for 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Thoroughly blot each curl.
  3. Place cotton around hairline.
  4. Shake Neutralizer and apply to top and underside of each rod and re-saturate. Save approximately 15ml of Neutralizer.
  5. Wait 5 minutes.
  6. Gently remove rods.
  7. Apply remaining Neutralizer to unwrapped curls and work through hair for 1 minute.
  8. Rinse hair thoroughly.
  9. Style as desired.
