The re-designed wide T-blade is manufactured with strong diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings that, according to lab testing, last eight times longer than stainless steel blades. This means less need to replace blades. The trimmer’s zero-gap capabilities create a trim right at the skin for ultra-clear cuts in even the tightest spaces.

Some areas of hair are denser than others, and therefore require varying motor speeds. Hi-Viz® features an innovative Adaptive Speed Control system that automatically adjusts the motor to cut through all hair thicknesses and textures evenly in a single hit. Thick hair is cut through just as easily as thinner hair, giving you a better feel in the hand as you pass through different sections of hair. At full charge, Hi-Viz® can cut for 135 minutes, and is fully charged in 45 minutes.

In 1911, Leo J. Wahl discovered the electromagnetic motor. He realized that he could use this kind of motor to make a medical massager for his uncle, J. Frank Wahl. As a student, Leo designed the massager and Frank began manufacturing them in a small plant in Sterling, Illinois.

Leo began selling this invention to barbershops. He recognized a need for improving barber tools by using this type of motor. In 1919 he took over the business and founded Wahl Clipper Corporation. Since then, Wahl has been the leader in the hair grooming industry.
